Brutus came to us from Cyndi Fowler, in Ohio.  I was travelling out to Ohio on a business trip and somehow managed to convince my wife that I should drive the van and take a crate!  The minute I arrived in the Columbus area I made arrangements to go check out the litter of male puppies that Cyndi had available.  There were 3 brindle males .  "Brutus" was the one for me.  Something about him told me he had to return to NJ with me.  

Brutus never liked the show ring.  He was great outside the ring, but as soon as you stepped in, he let you know that this was NOT where he wanted to be!  He wanted to be in the comforts of home, and had no intentions of "working for a living"!  Though he never achieved the AKC title of CH, he was definitely a champion in our hearts!  Brutus was our introduction to the show world, and as most know, once there, you're hooked.

Brutus was taken from us way too soon!  He made it to the double digits (11.5 years old), but DM crippled him and we decided it best for him to go on to the Bridge.  Rest peacefully old boy!
